Our desire is to meet people, make disciples, and multiply churches all over the world.
We’re just average, ordinary folks who love Jesus and sharing life together. We grill out, throw parties, tickle our kids, read our Bibles, help people in need, serve the community, and have tons of fun doing it. We don’t have it all together, but Jesus loves us anyway. He meets us in our mess, accepts us just the way we are, and then invites us to live for him in everything we do. That's pretty awesome!
We have a bunch of smart, capable leaders
Our team represents the kind of quality people who are part of Torrent: Keith VanHolbeck (community life), Erin Posthuma (hospitality), Ellie Fair (small groups/huddles), Michelle Myers (graphic arts), Donna Smith (set-up), Krista Barker & Kari Merriam (children), and Jeffrey Smith (operations), Hilary Yoder (worship arts), Chuck Fair and Josh Gillis (elder apprentices).

Sometimes we focus on BEING instead of GOING to church
We’re trying to do things differently at Torrent. We don’t want Sunday worship gatherings to dominate what we do. They’re important--really important--but not as important as living out Jesus’ rhythms as a church throughout the week and during the year. Jesus took time to balance work and rest, even in the midst of a very busy schedule.
